Street Fight in Newark or Harare?

I just watched the documentary Street Fight, which is about the 2002 mayoral race in Newark, New Jersey.  It pitted challenger (and Rhodes scholar) Cory Booker against old school, Daley-style political machine incumbent Sharpe James.  The amount of corruption and intimidation was massive and almost unbelievable.  It reminded me of African "democracies" like Zimbabwe.  Fortunately, Booker did not get roughed up like Morgan Tsvangirai.

Here's the trailer.  It's available online on Netflix.
